We believe privacy is a fundamental right. That's why LokMadad is built to operate 100% offline with zero data collection.

If you choose to save a profile for auto-fill convenience, this data is stored locally on your device only using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local).

This data is encrypted by Chrome and accessible only to you. It is never transmitted anywhere.
4. How LokMadad Works
Understanding our technical operation helps explain our privacy stance:
- Form Detection: The extension identifies form fields on web pages using standard DOM queries. This happens entirely within your browser.
- Validation: When you type, the extension validates input format (e.g., 12-digit Aadhaar, 10-character PAN) using regex patterns stored within the extension code.
- Auto-Correction: Common formatting issues (like lowercase PAN) are corrected locally in real-time.
- No Network Requests: The extension makes zero HTTP requests. It cannot communicate with any external server.
5. Browser Permissions
LokMadad requests minimal permissions. Here's why each is needed:

While we don't collect data, we take security seriously:
- All extension code follows Chrome's Content Security Policy (CSP)

- Regular security reviews of our codebase
8. Children's Privacy
LokMadad does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age. Since we collect no data, this policy applies universally to all users regardless of age.
9. Data Retention
Since we collect no data, there is nothing to retain on our end. Locally stored profile data (if you choose to save one) remains on your device until:
- You manually delete it through the extension settings
- You uninstall the extension
- You clear Chrome's storage data
10. Your Rights
You have complete control over any data stored locally:
- Access: View your saved profile anytime in the extension popup
- Modify: Edit or update your saved information
- Delete: Remove all stored data with one click
- Portability: Your data is yours; we have no copy of it

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Significant changes will be announced through the Chrome Web Store listing.
We will never change our core commitment: zero data collection.
